Funding Dashboard

Making strategic investments and leveraging opportunities to achieve our regional transportation vision.

Funding for the transportation system comes from a variety of federal, state, and local sources. Funding needs include capital funds to build infrastructure, ongoing operations and maintenance, and program implementation over the next 20+ years.

To successfully implement Lake Tahoe’s Regional Transportation Plan, finding the necessary funding to pay for ambitious programs will rely on both traditional funding sources and new approaches to revenue generation. Generating needed funding will depend on close collaboration between regional agencies, local jurisdictions, and the private sector.

The funding dashboard provides a transparent and interactive summary of transportation funding for the region included both spent and needed funding for the future, by source and program. For more information on transportation funding please visit http://www.trpa.org/transportation/funding/.

Highlighted in the graphs is funding through the Federal Transportation Improvement Program (FTIP), a four-year program of funded highway, transit, bicycle, and pedestrian projects in various stages of development through 2020.
